designed by stefano giovannoni, with the collaboration of rumiko takeda, the “banana family” of helpful and intelligent monkeys grows in number and extends its functions. the “banana family” line maintains the high standards of decoration by hand and quality of materials set by the “Orientales” series, and they continue the collaboration with the national palace museum of taiwan, begun with the “Chin Family” collection.

sweet banana has a shape and size that make her very pleasing to hold. this monkey sugar castor is made of thermoplastic material in 3 parts, two shell moldings and a stopper. the subdivision of the parts is designed to best enhance the hand-applied decoration of the product. sweet banana is loaded from the top by removing the bayonet-mechanism stopper. the knurling on the stopper, in addition to being a decorative element that enhances the point where the sugar is dispensed, also gives a good grip to facilitate opening and closing.
